This past week has been one of those very “Penn State Proud” weeks. With the recent passing of Joe Paterno, the Penn State community has really come together as a family. As soon as I got to school on Monday, plans were already made to honor our beloved Joe Pa. All week long students wrote on banners to signify how much we respected and loved him. You saw things such as “Heroes get remembered, Legends never die” and “We are, because you were.”
On Thursday students covered our lion shrine with blue and white carnations and students were able to watch the live coverage of everything that was going on. It was an emotional week for Penn State and most of us did not even know Joe Pa personally. Things like this remind me why I chose Penn State. We are not just a University, we are a family.
