It’s never too late to get involved! :)

It’s the day before classes start and I am being lazy one last day before things start to get crazy.  I have enjoyed sleeping late (well, nothing too late, but later than 7am) and doing things on my own schedule but it’s time to get back into school mode.  Break is always something I look forward to, but by the end I’m ready to go back to school and a lot of that is because I start to miss the activities and events that Abington provides!

Penn State Abington is great at making people feel welcomed and getting them into new things. For someone starting a new semester it could be a bit nerve racking but there’s no better decision than getting involved!

If someone were to ask me what he or she should join, I would instantly say THON! You get to help kids fight cancer and I’m on the executive board, so of course that would be my go to answer.  However, maybe that’s not what they’re looking for.  Well, there are still plenty of options! From SGA to COW to our countless multicultural groups, there is something for everyone!

Your school should feel like your home away from home, even if you are only there for a few hours a day and getting involved is the best way to do that.  Not only will you meet a ton of new friends, especially if you join us in the Lions Den but you will create a bond with the faculty and staff you will be working with which could help you out in the long run.

Your college experience is what you make it, so why not do everything you can to make it the best years of your life? You don’t want to look back on these days and wish that you did more. Penn State, it’s your time now. So get out there and get involved!

Join us at our two involvement fairs: January 10th and 11th from 10:30 – 1:30.
